A description of the changes, including video presentation, documents, and age group charts, are available on this page. The page will be updated as more information becomes available to the club. If you have any questions, please email an ESC coordinator.

Player Development Initiatives
US Soccer has been working on a consistent youth playing format for all members. They have developed the US Soccer Player Development Initiatives. These initiatives are approved by US Soccer for application. Enid Soccer Club wants to make these initiatives available to all of our members to understand their recommendations. ESC will have additional communications with coaches and parents to understand these upcoming changes. Additional online resources and information will be available soon.
US Soccer is going to calendar birth years to align with international standards and Youth National Team programs. Previously, age groups were determined based on players born between Aug 1 and July 31. The change to calendar year age groups will reflect the calendar year, or Jan 1 to Dec 31. Players are still allowed to play in an older age group.
The following documents (PDF) cover the information available.
