Enid Soccer Club Coaches Clinics

Hello Coaches,
I hope your season is going well. Our priority is for you and your
team’s soccer experience to be fun. The coaching challenge is for the
kids to have fun while learning to play soccer. This can be particularly
difficult as practices typically occur after a tiring day of school.
Some things to keep in mind are:
 | Work on the basic techniques of passing, receiving, shooting,
etc. much more than technical concepts of offense, defense,
position, etc.
|
 | Pick one topic per practice and work on only that topic.
|
 | If you are prepared and on-time practices will be easier.
|
 | Have a team parent to help you.
|
 | Use games to keep energy and fun levels high. Avoid drills with
lines.
|
 | End every practice with some sort of end game such as small
sided soccer.
|
 | Keep it fun and the kids will keep coming back.
|
 | Don’t worry too much about winning. |
